Inspector Report Screen Shots
Congruity Inspector meets information needs
of a broad range of users. Network engineers can
troubleshoot issues from anywhere using Inspector's
centralized network-level full packet trace feature. Executives and HR
personnel can
access reports with operational naratives describing actual vs. optimal
conditions and suggested remediation paths. Auditors, both in-house and
3rd party, can review the 100% objective reporting proces, a
full-disclosure compliance record, so management
are consistently well-informed and on the same page.
Web-based network access
enables authorized users to examine Inspector's interactive reports
from
anywhere on the network.
Here's an end-to-end
operational view of your network all in one place. 100% objective data
collected from LAN/WAN network traffic, not from device logs,
reflecting usage impact on security, performance and user productivity.
Network
Security Management

This report shows
active inbound communication ports. This data confirms
effectiveness of inbound firewall rules and highlights who is accessing
the company's internal systems and data. Inspector is
positioned
inside the firewall and provides visibility to verify
internal control effectiveness for firewalls, filters and access
control and help identify unauthorized access.
This report shows
an external user access on Inbound TCP port 14593. All links offer
drill-down detail to investigate the origin of network activities, in
this example using the integrated Whois look-up. The report below
resolves
via the Asia Pac Information Center to a location in Hong Kong. Might
be a good idea to block this address range in the firewall rules.
Network
Performance Management and Bandwidth Hogs
WAN resources are expensive. This report
shows
WAN bandwidth broken out by percentage of
overall traffic. Web traffic generally represents the majority of
all Internet communications. Inspector can also monitor
the outside of the firewall showing how
much of the WAN feed is being consumed by port scanning and
transient Internet communications.
Top bandwidth users float to
the top helping to quickly identify the source of slow response time
and traffic congestion issues.
Network Purpose and User Productivity
Details
Network User details
provide a complete activity record including Servers access
list and detailed hourly, daily and weekly usage graphs. Examining this
activity is the most effective way to identify
performance issues, viruses, bad configurations and unwanted user
activities.
It's advisable to know who
is accessing your network from the outside. This example shows machines
from around the world making unwanted visits. Turn off these inbound
ports or go a step further and
add the IP addresses to the rule to block it. If it's a persistent
problem, go to your ISP have them block it at their level. This way
your
WAN link isn't being degraded by traffic bouncing off the outside of
your firewall.
File Download Tracking (.exe; .mp3; .zip
etc)
File dowloads are the cause
of most system exploits and stability issues. Inspector tracks over 100
different file types including .EXE and .MP3 files. Drill in to
identify which specific system installed the software as shown in the
example below.
